Description

An air-light loose mineral foundation powder with SPF 20+. Buildable, breathable, and gentle enough for the most sensitive skin.

Our Loose Mineral Foundation Powder is the one for skin that reacts to almost everything else. An air-light formula that delivers buildable coverage while letting your skin breathe underneath.

Inside: pure minerals that calm, protect, and refine your complexion. Natural SPF 20 protection built in. A soft-focus finish that stays put through heat, humidity, and long days.

Free from fillers, talc, bismuth oxychloride, and the harsh additives that can trigger sensitive skin. What you get instead is a foundation designed to work with your skin, not against it.

✔ Non-comedogenic and gentle on reactive skin
✔ Oil-balancing, soft-focus finish
✔ Free from fillers, talc, bismuth oxychloride, and harsh additives

How to Apply

  1. Tap a small amount of powder into the lid.
  2. Swirl a dense kabuki brush into the product and tap off the excess.
  3. Buff into skin using soft circular motions, starting at the centre of your face and blending outward.
  4. Build coverage gradually in thin layers for the most natural finish.

This swirl, tap, buff method helps the minerals melt into your skin for a soft, seamless result.

Pro tip: Pair with a light face oil or primer to customise your finish, more glow or more matte.

Why it is different

Coverage that behaves itself

1

It lets your skin breathe

An air light loose powder rather than a sealed film over the top of everything. Pure minerals rest on the surface, refining your tone and softening redness, while your skin carries on doing what skin does underneath. That is the whole idea.

★★★★★

“Powder is light and easy to apply. Feels lovely on my skin.”

2

It leaves out the usual irritants

No talc. No bismuth oxychloride, which is behind so much of the itching women blame on mineral makeup in general. No fillers bulking it out. What is left is pigment, protection, and nothing your skin has to argue with.

★★★★★

“This mineral make up is light, flawless and has great coverage. I have very sensitive skin and this make up is perfect for me. Any redness I have is covered completely.”

Selena, verified review
3

Sheer, or full, whichever you need that day

One light pass and it evens you out while still looking like skin. Keep building in thin layers and you can take it all the way to full coverage, right where you want it and nowhere else. That is the real gift of a loose powder, and it is why the same jar suits a school run and a wedding.

★★★★★

“This product is beautiful and better than a filter, and my face is mature (60+). Highly recommend.”

4

It holds through an Australian day

Sweat resistant and water resistant, with a soft focus finish that balances oil rather than sliding off it. We made this here, for heat, for humidity, and for a face that has to still be there past lunchtime.

★★★★★

“Amazing product. Gives the face a complete flawless finish. Wish I'd discovered it earlier. Have worn this both day and night.”

The ritual

Swirl, tap, buff

This is the method that makes the difference. It melts the minerals into your skin for a soft, seamless finish.

01

Tap a little into the lid

Less than you think, always. Tipping it into the lid rather than shaking it about keeps the powder exactly where you want it.

02

Swirl your brush, then tap it off

A dense kabuki is what you want. Swirl it in, then tap the excess off properly before it goes anywhere near your face.

03

Buff in soft circles

Start in the middle of your face and work outward. Buffing is what melts the minerals into your skin rather than leaving them sitting on top, and it is the whole secret to the finish.

04

Build up wherever you want more

Thin layer, then another, until you have exactly what you want. Sheer on the days you want to look like you, all the way to full where you need it. A little face oil or primer underneath gives you more glow, or leave it bare for more matte.

Questions

Anything you are wondering

How do I make sure I get the right shade?

Three ways, and two of them are free. Take the Shade Finder Quiz, which takes about a minute and names your shade. Order samples at $3 each and wear them in daylight. Or send me a selfie in natural light with a bare face and I will match you myself, usually within a day. I do this all the time and I am very good at it, so please use me.

How much coverage does it actually give?

Whatever you want, and this is the bit I love about a loose powder. One light pass and you still look like you, just evened out. Keep going in thin layers and you can build it right up to full coverage, and only where you need it. Speaking from years of wearing it myself, most people stop after one pass. Keep building and it will surprise you.

Does the SPF 20+ replace my sunscreen?

Think of it as a lovely extra layer over the top of your sunscreen rather than instead of it. The SPF 20+ in here is genuine mineral protection, but the amount of powder you actually put on your face is nowhere near the amount used in SPF testing. Sunscreen first, powder over the top, and you are properly covered.

How do I use a loose powder without it going everywhere?

Tip a little into the lid rather than shaking the jar around, swirl your brush in, and tap the excess off before it reaches your face. That is all there is to it, and it keeps the powder where you want it. If you would rather a compact, our Pressed Mineral Foundation is the same idea in a case.

What is not in it?

No talc. No bismuth oxychloride, which is behind so much of the itching women blame on mineral makeup. No fillers, no harsh additives, and nothing nut derived. It is vegan and it has never been near an animal test. The full list is in the Ingredients tab above.

Will it look dry or cakey on mature skin?

Build it in thin layers rather than one heavy pass, and moisturise first. Maureen, who is over 60, wrote that it is better than a filter, which I still smile about. If your skin runs very dry, pop a light face oil underneath and it sits beautifully.

Powder or liquid, which should I choose?

Both build from sheer to full, so it comes down to finish. Powder gives you a soft matte, balances oil, and has SPF 20+ built in, so it suits oilier or combination skin and humid days. Liquid is dewier and more hydrating, and suits drier or mature skin. Plenty of our customers own both and wear the powder over the liquid.

Is it alright for acne prone or reactive skin?

This is exactly the skin I made it for. It is non comedogenic and formulated without the ingredients most often blamed for irritation. As with anything new, patch test first if you are in the middle of a flare, and do write to me if you would like to talk it through.

How long will a jar last?

A good long while, because you genuinely need very little each time. And when you do run out, the Eco Friendly Refill is twenty dollars less than a new jar, since you already own the jar, the sifter and the lid.

Where is it made?

Australia, and it is vegan and cruelty free. We are Australian owned and founder led, and every order is packed and posted by us from our studio here.

Shipping and returns within Australia?

$9.95 standard, free on orders $99 and above, express $15. Packed and posted by us from our studio here. Returns are for damaged or faulty items, reported within 5 days.
