How to Use
Apply with a foundation brush or sponge to clean, moisturised skin. Blend outward in light strokes or circular motions. Build coverage where you need it, less where you do not. Set lightly with mineral powder if you would like extended wear.

How do I choose my shade?

If you would rather talk to a person, send us a selfie in natural light and we will recommend a shade, usually within one business day, at no charge.
What if the shade is not right?
Because foundation is a personal use beauty item we cannot accept returns for shade choice, so we would rather get it right before you order. Free personal shade matching, the Shade Finder Quiz, Virtual Colour Matching and $3 samples all exist for exactly that reason. If your order arrives damaged or faulty, contact us within 5 days and we will replace or refund it.
Is it suitable for rosacea, eczema or acne prone skin?
It is formulated for sensitive and reactive skin, is non comedogenic, and contains zinc oxide which forms a gentle barrier. As with anything new, patch test first if you have an active flare.
I have dry or mature skin. Will it settle into fine lines?
This is the usual complaint about mineral makeup, and it is mostly a powder problem. This one is a hydrating liquid with aloe, glycerine, squalane and shea butter in it. Belinda, who is 46, wrote that it is perfect if you get dry skin and wonderful for that age skin. Moisturise first and give it two minutes to absorb, and it sits far better.
Will it oxidise or turn orange during the day?
The colour comes from iron oxide mineral pigments rather than dyes. Across every review we have received since 2019, no one has reported the shade changing on them. If your skin runs oily, a light dust of mineral powder over the top holds it steady.
Is the finish dewy or matte?
Natural, and closer to dewy than matte. It is buildable from sheer to medium coverage. If you would rather it sat matte, set it with our Mineral Foundation Powder.
What is not in it?
No talc, no silicones, no parabens and no added synthetic fragrance. Any scent you notice comes from the botanical extracts in the formula. It is vegan and never tested on animals. The full INCI list is in the Ingredients tab further up the page.
Can I use it while pregnant or breastfeeding?
There is no retinol, no salicylic acid and no synthetic fragrance in the formula. It does contain botanical extracts including oregano, rosemary, thyme and lavender. We are not able to give medical advice, so please read the full ingredient list with your doctor or midwife before you use it.
Does it contain SPF?
No. This foundation is not a sunscreen and carries no SPF rating. Apply your usual sunscreen first and let it absorb before you apply foundation.
How far does a bottle go?
One pump gives light coverage and two gives medium, and reviewers consistently note that a little goes a long way. How long a 30ml bottle lasts depends on how much you use and how often you wear it.
Liquid or powder, which should I choose?
Liquid gives a dewier, more hydrating finish and suits drier or mature skin. The powder gives a matte finish and suits oilier skin or humid days. Plenty of customers use both, powder over liquid.
