Our Liquid Mineral Foundation is what happens when a formula is designed by someone who has lived with sensitive skin. How to Use
Apply with a foundation brush or sponge to clean, moisturised skin. Blend outward in light strokes or circular motions. Build coverage where you need it, less where you do not. Set lightly with mineral powder if you would like extended wear.

It lets your skin breathe
Conventional foundation sits over your skin like a lid, which is why so many of us end up with more congestion than we started with. Mineral pigment sits with your skin instead of on top of it, evening out tone and softening redness while your pores carry on doing what pores do. Sheer, or full, whichever you need that day
One pump and you still look like you, just evened out. Keep building in thin layers and you can take it all the way to full coverage, exactly where you want it. How to wear it

Start with clean, moisturised skin
Give your moisturiser a full two minutes to sink in before you go any further. It feels like an age when you are rushing, but it makes all the difference to how this sits.

One pump, or two
One for a sheer wash, two for medium, and a third pressed just where you want it if you are after full. Start with less than you think you need. It builds beautifully and you can always add.

Blend outward, gently
Light strokes, working out from the centre of your face. A brush if you want fuller coverage, your fingers if you would rather it stayed sheer. Warm hands help.

Set it, if you like
A light dust of mineral powder over the top holds everything steady through heat and humidity. On a cooler day you may not need it at all.

How do I make sure I get the right shade?
Three ways, and two of them are free. Take the Shade Finder Quiz, which takes about a minute and names your shade. Order samples at $3 each and wear them in daylight. Or send me a selfie in natural light with a bare face and I will match you myself, usually within a day. I do this all the time and I am very good at it, so please use me.
How much coverage does it give, and is the finish dewy or matte?
The coverage is entirely up to you. One pump is a sheer wash where you still look like you, and if you keep building in thin layers you can take it all the way to full, just where you want it. Most people stop too early, so do keep going. The finish is natural and leans more dewy than matte, which most people love. If you would prefer matte, set it with our Mineral Foundation Powder.
Is it alright for rosacea, eczema or acne prone skin?
This is the skin I made it for. It is non comedogenic, there is zinc oxide in it for a gentle barrier, and the whole formula is built around not upsetting reactive skin. As with anything new, patch test first if you are in the middle of a flare, and write to me if you would like to talk it through.
I have dry or mature skin. Will it settle into my fine lines?
This is a hydrating formula with aloe, glycerine, squalane and shea butter in it, so it behaves quite differently to a powder. Belinda, who is 46, wrote that it is perfect if you get dry skin and wonderful for that age skin. Moisturise first, give it two minutes, and it sits beautifully.
Will it oxidise or turn orange on me?
No. The colour comes from iron oxide mineral pigments rather than dyes, and in every review since 2019 not one person has reported the shade changing on them. If your skin runs oily, a light dust of mineral powder over the top will hold it perfectly steady.
What is not in it?
No talc, no silicones, no parabens, no added synthetic fragrance. Anything you can smell is coming from the botanical extracts. It is vegan and it has never been near an animal test. The full list is in the Ingredients tab further up if you would like to read every word.
Does it contain SPF?
This one does not. Put your sunscreen on first and let it absorb properly, then your foundation over the top. If you would like sun protection built into your base, our Mineral Foundation Powder has SPF 20+ and layers beautifully over this.
Can I wear it while pregnant or breastfeeding?
There is no retinol, no salicylic acid and no synthetic fragrance in it. It does contain botanical extracts including oregano, rosemary, thyme and lavender. We are not able to give medical advice, so please read the full ingredient list with your doctor or midwife and go with what they tell you.
How long will a bottle last me?
Longer than you would expect. One pump is a sheer wash and two is medium, and customers tell me over and over that a little goes a long way with this one.
Liquid or powder, which one should I choose?
Both build from sheer to full, so it comes down to finish. Liquid gives you a dewier, more hydrating result and suits drier or more mature skin. The powder is matte and suits oilier skin, or humid days. Plenty of our customers own both and wear the powder over the liquid, which is lovely.
