Papaya and pineapple enzymes dissolve the bonds holding dead skin in place, and white willow bark keeps pores clear. Nothing abrasive drags across your face, which matters if your skin flushes at the first sign of a scrub. Texture softens gradually rather than all at once.
★★★★★“Natural ingredients with antioxidants that I can feel working instantly. Tightens my skin nicely while giving it a healthy clean glow.”

That squeaky feeling people were taught to want is your barrier telling you it has been stripped. The foam here comes from coconut derived cleansers rather than sulphates, so it is soft, and your skin still feels like skin afterwards. Licorice root and Australian native Lilli Pilli sit alongside to calm and brighten.
★★★★★“I loved the feel and condition of my skin once I started using it. My skin does not feel tight or stripped of moisture.”
Debbie D., verified buyer
This was made for women who had run out of cleansers to try. Every review we have for it is five stars, and the word that comes up most often is comfortable. We would still rather you patch tested than took our word for it.
★★★★★“My skin is sensitive, I had no redness or itching and no bad reactions to the product. Very happy.”

Splash your face with warm water first. On dry skin the cleanser drags and will not foam properly.
One pump is plenty. Massage in small circular motions for about thirty seconds and let it foam. No pressure needed, the enzymes are doing the work.
Hot water undoes the point of a gentle cleanser. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry rather than rubbing.
Tip a little Exfoliating Vitamin C Crystals into the cleanser in your palm for a deeper polish. You control the strength by how much you add.
It should not. There are no sulphates in it, which is what causes that squeaky, tight feeling in most foaming cleansers. It still foams, just softly. If your skin does feel tight afterwards, the usual culprit is water that is too hot rather than the cleanser.
Yes, and they are there because they work. Orange, lime, bergamot and juniper are clarifying oils that help detoxify pores and keep the complexion clear, used at the small percentages a rinse off cleanser calls for. Every review this cleanser has comes from customers who describe their skin as sensitive, and every one of them is five stars. If essential oils are a known trigger for you personally, patch test on your jawline first, as you would with anything new.
Yes. Enzymes work differently to acid exfoliants, so daily use morning and night suits most skin. If your skin is very dry or currently compromised, start with nights only and build up.
It removes mineral foundation, blush and everyday makeup comfortably. For heavy or waterproof eye makeup, take that off first with an oil or a balm, then cleanse. Trying to scrub waterproof mascara off with any cleanser is how eyes get irritated.
No, and that is rather the point. The fruit enzymes exfoliate gently every day, which is far kinder than a harsh scrub once a week. When you do want a deeper clean, tip a little of our Exfoliating Vitamin C Crystals into the cleanser in the palm of your hand and massage it in. More cleanser for a soft polish, more crystals for a proper resurface, so you set the strength yourself. Once or twice a week is plenty. The two are sold together as the Cleanse & Exfoliate Duo.
White willow bark is a natural source of salicylates, which is why it suits congested skin, and customers with breakout prone skin do well with it. That said, a cleanser is on your face for under a minute. It supports clearer skin as part of a routine rather than acting as a treatment on its own.
Nothing in this cleanser is a recognised risk in a product you rinse off within a minute. Willow bark gets queried because salicylic acid is restricted in pregnancy, but topical willow bark is not the same molecule and is not treated the same way. The one product in our range we ask you to avoid while pregnant or breastfeeding is the Enriching Vitamin A Serum, and that is flagged clearly on its own page. We are not able to give medical advice, so if you have any doubt at all, show your midwife or GP the ingredient list and follow what they tell you.
