Placed high on the cheekbone, blush lifts the whole face. Baked rather than pressed, so the colour melts into skin instead of dusting over it, and nobody can tell where it starts.

Why it is different

Skin loses a little of its natural colour as it changes, and that flatness is what reads as tired far more than any line does. Colour high on the cheekbone puts it straight back. Most women find it does more for their face in ten seconds than a full base does in ten minutes, which is why so many of our customers wear this and almost nothing else.
“I have never loved a blush SO much! It's got a shimmer look with a peachy colour that is just to die for! I received so many compliments after I wore it the first time”

Sitting the colour on the top of the cheekbone rather than low on the apple draws the eye upward and lifts the whole face. That only works if the blush blends exactly where you put it, and pressed powder rarely does. Baking fuses the pigment with jojoba and safflower oils, so what you pick up behaves more like a cream and settles without an edge.
“Easy to apply, seems to stay put, love the glow it gives and colour is lovely. Not too strong either.”

Angelic Splash, Peach Frost, Apricot Swirl, Guava Swirl and Ginger Splash all carry a soft luminosity that reads as good skin rather than glitter. Matte Berry is the exception, a flat berry for when you want the colour with no shine at all.
“Absolutely loving the Mineral Baked Blushes. It's become my new go-to for a natural, glowing flush. The shade Matte Berry is perfect for adding a hint of colour to my cheeks”

It feels counterintuitive, because most of us were taught to smile first. A smiling cheek sits higher than a resting one, so colour placed on the apple slips downward the moment your face settles. Finding your cheekbone at rest is the small change that keeps it where you meant it.
The top of the cheekbone, roughly under the outer corner of your eye. It will feel too high the first time. Have a look in the mirror before you decide, because this is the placement that lifts.
A soft C, curving gently up and out and just brushing the brow bone. That upward line is what draws the eye and does the lifting.
Swirl or tap into the pan, whichever you prefer. The pigment is concentrated, so it is worth seeing the first layer by a window before deciding whether you want more.
A little higher than most of us were taught. With your face relaxed rather than smiling, find the highest point of your cheekbone, roughly under the outer corner of your eye, and sweep up and out toward the temple in a soft C. The old advice to smile and dot it on the apple was lovely, but the colour drops as soon as your face settles, which is the opposite of what you want.
As a starting point: Angelic Splash for fair and cool colouring, Peach Frost and Apricot Swirl for warm and neutral, Guava Swirl if you like a coral pink, Ginger Splash for deeper or olive skin, and Matte Berry for anyone wanting colour without shine. Send me a selfie in daylight and I will tell you which two I would pick for you.
Exactly as much as you want. The pigment is concentrated, which means you are in control rather than the product deciding for you. Take a little, place it, look at it in daylight, and build only if you feel like more. This works beautifully on the very fairest skin for exactly that reason.
The five glow shades carry a very fine sheen rather than visible sparkle, so they catch the light without settling into texture, and most women with fine lines wear them happily. If you would prefer no shine at all, Matte Berry is your one.
Yes, and this is where baked blush really earns its place. Because the pigment is bound with jojoba and safflower oils rather than pressed dry, it does not cling to dry patches or emphasise texture the way a chalky powder blush will.
A soft, rounded brush suits the C sweep best because it blends as it goes. A denser brush picks up more, which is lovely if you want stronger colour, just tap it out before it touches your face.
A very long time. Because the pigment is concentrated you use very little, and customers regularly tell me they are still on the same compact several years later.
This one is made in the USA. We are Australian owned and founder led, our foundations and skincare are made here, and a few makeup items including this blush are made in the States. Every order is packed and posted by us from our studio in Australia.
Leave your email on that shade and I will tell you the moment it is back. Let me know what you were after as well and I will tell you whether one of the shades in stock is close enough to tide you over.
Ask me anything, before or after you order. I read and answer these myself, so you get a real recommendation from someone who knows the shades inside out.
