If you are here, you have probably reacted to something before and you would rather check than find out the hard way. That is a very sensible way to shop, and this page exists so you can do it properly. Nothing is hidden.

What you will never find in anything I make
No talc. No bismuth oxychloride, which is behind so much of the itching women blame on mineral makeup in general. No parabens. No synthetic fragrance, so if something smells lovely it is because of a botanical, and that botanical is named on the label. And no nanoparticles. My powders are built on rice powder, mica and calcium carbonate instead, and they always have been.

I will show you my particle sizes, which hardly anyone does
A nanoparticle is anything under 100 nanometres. Most brands will tell you they are nano free and leave it at that, which never felt like quite enough to me. My titanium dioxide measures 1.2 to 1.7 microns, so around 1,500 nanometres, roughly fifteen times larger than the threshold. My zinc oxide sits at a median of 310 nanometres. I choose the larger particle sizes on purpose across the titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, kaolin and micas, because larger particles rest on the surface of your skin, which is exactly where I want them. A number you can check is worth so much more than a promise you cannot.

If you have an allergy, a diagnosed skin condition, or a long list of things that have gone wrong before, write to me first. Tell me what your skin reacts to and I will go through the formulations properly and give you an honest answer, even when that answer is that nothing of mine is right for you. I would so much rather say that than take your money. I read and answer these myself.

In the makeup
Mica gives mineral powder that soft focus finish and the lovely way it catches the light. Titanium dioxide brings both coverage and physical UVA and UVB protection, which is how my Mineral Foundation Powder carries SPF 20+ without a single chemical filter in it. Zinc oxide is quietly soothing as well as protective. Calcium carbonate takes care of oil gently, without leaving your skin feeling stripped. And rice powder is the base of all my pressed products, chosen over talc because it is soft, rounded and kind.

In the skincare
Retinyl palmitate is vitamin A in its gentlest form, converted slowly by your skin over three steps rather than arriving all at once. Niacinamide at 5% is the exact concentration the clinical research used for oil, pores and barrier strength. L-ascorbic acid at 10% is pure vitamin C, the form all the evidence is built on rather than a cheaper stand in. Hyaluronic acid at 1% is the level formulators aim for, and beyond it things just turn tacky. And gotu kola, which you might know as centella asiatica, is one of the best evidenced botanicals there is for firmness.

The Australian natives I love
Kakadu plum holds more natural vitamin C than any fruit on earth and grows wild across the north. Alongside it I use Davidson's plum, lilli pilli, desert lime, lemon aspen and lemon myrtle. They are extraordinary antioxidants, they evolved under a sun that is unkind to absolutely everything, and it felt right that an Australian brand should be made from Australian plants.

The questions I am asked most
Which of your products are not vegan?
Four, and all for the same reason: beeswax, which is what gives a pencil its lovely soft glide and a lipstick its staying power. Those are the Mineral Lipstick, Mineral Lip Crayon, Mineral Eye Crayon and Waterproof Mineral Brow Pencil. Everything else is vegan, including my whole skincare range, the Accelerating Mascara and the Pressed Brow Powder.
Do any products contain nuts?
Just one. My Rejuvenating Peptide Moisturiser has sweet almond oil in it, so please give that one a miss if you have a nut allergy. Write to me and I will point you towards something else that will suit you beautifully.
I react to aspirin and salicylates. What should I avoid?
My Balancing Vitamin B Serum has white willow bark in it, which is a natural source of salicylates and is what makes it so good at keeping pores clear. It is only a small amount, but if you know you are sensitive to aspirin or salicylates, patch test along your jawline for a few days first, or have a quick word with your GP.
Which products contain essential oils?
Four of them. The Enriching Vitamin A Serum has frankincense, rose geranium and ylang ylang. The Vitamin C Brightening Serum has a little lavender and lemon peel. The Age-Defy Elixir has mandarin peel, neroli and pink lotus, and both the mandarin and the neroli are considered non-phototoxic, unlike bergamot or expressed lime. And the Purifying Enzyme Cleanser has lime and juniper. If you know fragrant plant oils are not your friend, patch test these along your jawline first.
My skin reacts to everything. Where should I start?
With the Nourishing Eye Cream and the Youthful Hyaluronic Acid. Neither has any fragrance or essential oils in it at all, and the hyaluronic is just three ingredients: water, hyaluronic acid, and a radish root ferment to keep it fresh. Those two are always where I start someone when they tell me nothing has agreed with them lately.
What about the botanical extracts in your pressed powders?
My Pressed Brow Powder and Pressed Bronzer have small amounts of organic oregano, thyme, cinnamon bark, rosemary, lavender and goldenseal in them, which are there as natural preservatives and antioxidants. Most skin is perfectly happy with them. If you know you react to botanical extracts, pop a little on your inner arm first.
Is titanium dioxide safe?
Yes for wearing on your skin, and the ban you may have read about was about eating it, not wearing it. The European Union banned it as a food additive back in 2022, and that ruling never extended to cosmetics, where it is still permitted in the EU, the UK, the United States and here in Australia. What should I avoid during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Only the Enriching Vitamin A Serum, and it will be waiting for you afterwards. Nothing else of mine appears on the standard avoid lists, but I am not able to give medical advice, so do show the ingredient list to your GP or midwife if you would like to be certain.
Where is everything made?
My whole skincare range is Australian made, in small batches, to professional grade standards. A few makeup items, including the pressed powders and the pencils, are made to my formulation overseas, and each product page tells you so plainly. Every order, wherever the product was made, is packed and posted by me from my studio here.
