Alongside it we use mountain pepper berry, a native antioxidant, and rosehip extract, which contains up to 60 times more vitamin C than oranges. Organic aloe vera gel and extract add soothing hydration, which is why a serum this active still feels calm on the skin. It seemed right to make an Australian brightening serum with Australian plants.

Mornings, on clean skin
Vitamin C is a daytime ingredient because its antioxidant protection is worth the most when your skin is out in the world. Cleanse, then apply before anything else goes on.

Two to three drops, pressed in
Two to three drops, pressed in. Warm the drops between your fingertips, then press them over your face and neck rather than rubbing them in. It is silk light and sinks in within moments, leaving your skin soft, fresh and ready for the next step.

Let it settle for a moment, then your moisturiser, then SPF. Vitamin C and sunscreen worn together is one of the most well established combinations in skincare, and it is where the visible brightening comes from.

How strong is it?

It is designed to give you brightening and antioxidant benefits at a strength you can wear every morning without complaint, and wearing it every morning is what actually delivers the change.
How long until I see brightening?
The glow tends to arrive early, and some of my customers notice it within a week or two. A more even-looking tone is a gentler change that comes with steady morning use over several weeks. Be patient and kind with your skin. It rewards showing up every day far more than using more.
Mine has changed colour slightly in the bottle. Is that normal?
A slight change in shade over time can happen with vitamin C and natural botanical extracts as they meet air and light, and it is nothing to worry about. Keep the bottle somewhere cool and out of direct sun, close it properly, and use it within 6 months of opening and it will stay lovely.
Can I use it with niacinamide or vitamin A?
Both, happily. The idea that vitamin C and niacinamide cancel each other out came from laboratory conditions rather than real faces and has been well and truly revisited. As for vitamin A, the simplest and best routine is vitamin C in the morning and vitamin A at night: protection by day, renewal by night.
Will it sting on sensitive skin?
Most women find it does not. It uses a gentle, stable form of vitamin C in a hydrating base with organic aloe vera gel and extract, which help keep skin calm and comfortable. If your skin is very reactive, start every second morning and build up. A brief tingle on the first few uses is common and settles.
Does it contain fragrance?
No added synthetic fragrance. The soft scent comes from sweet orange oil and mango extract. This is a morning serum worn under sunscreen, which is the right habit with any citrus oil anyway. If you know citrus oils bother your skin, patch test along your jawline first.
Is it safe during pregnancy?
Vitamin C is not on the standard avoid lists and many women continue with it, but I am not able to give medical advice, so do show the ingredient list to your GP or midwife. The one product I ask you to set aside while pregnant or breastfeeding is the Enriching Vitamin A Serum, and this serum is the natural thing to use in its place.
Does it sit well under makeup?
Yes. It is silk light and absorbs fully, so nothing pills. Let it settle, then moisturiser and SPF, then your base.
