Why peptides belong in a moisturiser
Collagen is a protein, and protein molecules are far too large to pass through the surface of your skin. Peptides are much shorter chains of those same amino acids, small enough to sit right where they are needed and hold onto water. That is their gift. The rice peptides here draw moisture in and keep it at the surface, and hydrated skin is fuller, softer and reflects light better. Apply to slightly damp skin
Straight after cleansing or toning, while your face still feels a little damp. Peptides and hyaluronic acid work by holding water, so giving them water to hold makes a noticeable difference.

A pea sized amount
Warm it between your fingertips first. It is a light cream and it goes further than it looks like it will.

Upward and outward, including the neck
Press and sweep upward rather than dragging down. The neck and décolletage show change earlier than the face does, and they are usually the last to get any attention.

Two minutes before makeup
Let it absorb properly and foundation sits beautifully on top. Over a cream that is still wet, any base will slide.

What do peptides actually do for my skin?
They are short chains of amino acids, the same building blocks that make up collagen, and because they are small they can sit in the surface of the skin and hold water there. That is what makes skin look plumper and feel smoother. Where a rich cream sits on top of dryness, peptides work with it.
Will it help with fine lines?
Yes, and sooner than you might expect. Skin that is properly hydrated is fuller, so fine lines sit less deeply and the whole face looks smoother and more rested. Most women see that within the first week. If you also want to work on deeper texture and tone over time, use the Enriching Vitamin A Serum at night and this cream over the top. The two are lovely together.
How soon will I see a difference?

Will it suit oily or combination skin?
Very likely, because it is a light cream rather than a heavy one, and dehydrated oily skin is extremely common. If your main concern is congestion rather than dryness, the Glowing Enzyme Moisturiser is the better fit for you.
Does it contain nuts?
Yes, and please do read this one. There is sweet almond oil in the formula, so it is not suitable if you have a nut allergy. Email me and I will point you to something in the range that will suit you instead.
Can I use it with a serum?
Yes, and it works beautifully as the final step. Serums go on first because they are lighter, then this seals them in and keeps everything where it should be.
Will it sit well under foundation?
Yes, with one small habit. Give it two minutes to absorb before your base goes on. Foundation applied over a cream that is still wet will slide, and that is true of every moisturiser rather than just this one.

Is it safe during pregnancy?
There is nothing in this formula that appears on the standard avoid lists, but I am not able to give medical advice. Show the ingredient list to your GP or midwife and follow what they tell you.
