How to Use
After cleansing, close your eyes and mist 2 to 3 times over your face and neck. Follow with your serum and moisturiser while skin is still slightly damp. Use morning and night, and mist over makeup any time you like.

Turn most toners around and alcohol is near the top of the list, because it evaporates fast and leaves that squeaky feeling people mistake for clean. What it actually leaves is a thirsty, unhappy barrier. There is none in here. The base is aloe vera, so your skin finishes the step softer and more comfortable than it started.

How to use it

Straight after cleansing, while skin is damp
Do not dry your face off first. Damp skin holds the mist better and everything you layer afterwards absorbs more readily.

Mist it, or use a cotton pad
Two or three mists over the whole face is plenty, with your eyes closed. If you prefer a pad, sweep it gently rather than scrubbing, because gentle is the whole point.

Do not rinse it off
It is meant to stay on. Give it a few seconds to settle, then go straight into your serum while the surface is still slightly damp.

Use it again through the day if you like
It sits happily over mineral makeup, so a light mist in the afternoon refreshes your face without disturbing your base.

What does a toner actually do?
It refreshes your skin straight after cleansing, sweeps away any last traces of cleanser, and leaves a hydrated surface for your serum to sink into. It is not the astringent stripping step toners had a reputation for in the nineties.
Is it an exfoliating toner?
No, this one is all about hydration and freshness. If you would like gentle exfoliation, our Exfoliating Vitamin C Crystals mixed into your cleanser once or twice a week do that job beautifully, and this mist follows on to soothe and refresh.
Can I use it every day?
Yes, morning and night. It is gentle enough for daily use. If your skin is very reactive, start once a day for a week and build from there.
My skin is sensitive. Will it sting?
There is no alcohol and no synthetic fragrance, and aloe vera is the base. The fresh scent comes from lemongrass, lime and bergamot oils, so if you know you react to essential oils, patch test on your inner arm for a day first.
My skin is oily. Do I still need hydration?
Very often, yes. Oily skin is frequently dehydrated underneath, and skin short of water can produce more oil to compensate. Light, alcohol free hydration like this is one of the kindest things you can give it.
Where does it sit in my routine?
Cleanse, mist, serum, moisturiser. Mist it on damp skin straight after cleansing and go into your serum while it is still slightly wet. Morning and night, and sunscreen last thing of a morning.
Can I spray it over makeup?
Yes, and it is lovely over mineral makeup in particular. A light mist in the afternoon takes the flatness off without moving your base around.
