You decide how much
One coat and it reads as your own lashes on a very good day. Three and you have proper evening definition. The formula is light enough to layer without turning into a solid block, so nothing clumps, nothing gets heavy on the lid, and it will not flake into the corners of your eyes. Made for eyes that have opinions
If your eyes water, sting or go pink at the first sign of a new mascara, you already know most of them were not built with you in mind. This one is water based, one hundred per cent vegan, and carries hyaluronic acid and vitamin E rather than the harsh solvents that do the damage. How to get the most from it

Start at the roots and wiggle
Press the wand right into the base of your lashes and wiggle it side to side before you sweep upward. Everything that makes lashes look thicker happens at the root, and it also puts the peptides exactly where you want them.

Second coat while the first is still wet
This is the trick that stops clumping. Wet on wet layers smoothly, wet on dry is what makes little clusters. If you want more, keep going while it is still tacky.

Twist the wand, do not pump it
Pumping pushes air into the tube and dries the formula out early, which is what turns a lovely mascara into a flaky one by month two. Twist as you pull it out instead.

Remove with warm water in the shower
It is water resistant rather than fully waterproof, and that is deliberate. Warm water and gentle fingertips are all it takes. Rubbing at your lash line with a cotton pad is how lashes get lost, and there is no reason for it here.

Is the lash serum in it real, or is it marketing?
It is real, and let me be precise about what it does. Myristoyl pentapeptide-17 is a cosmetic conditioning peptide, and of the peptides used for lashes it has the strongest research behind it. A ninety day study reported gains in length, volume and thickness with no adverse reactions. It conditions the lashes you already have so that over eight to twelve weeks they look longer and fuller, and because it is in your mascara you get it every single day without adding a step to your routine.
Is it waterproof?
Water resistant, which is the sweet spot. It holds through heat, humidity, a long day and the odd emotional moment without migrating under your eyes, then lifts off cleanly with warm water. Truly waterproof mascaras need solvent removers and a lot of rubbing, and that is how women lose lashes.
Will it suit sensitive eyes or contact lenses?
It is formulated with sensitive eyes in mind: water based, vegan, and free of the harsh solvents that cause most of the trouble. It is one of the most common reasons women write to me about it. If your eyes are particularly reactive or you wear lenses daily, try one eye first for a day or two.
Does it clump?
Not if you layer while the previous coat is still wet. It is a light, buildable formula rather than a thick one, which is exactly what lets you wear two or three coats. If you are used to very heavy mascaras you may want one coat more than you expect.
Volume or length?
Length and lift first, with volume building as you layer. If your lashes are short or sparse this is squarely designed for you. For dramatic thickness, build to three coats and it will get you there.
How long should a tube last?
Three months from opening, which is the standard for any mascara and worth sticking to, because eyes are delicate. Twisting rather than pumping the wand will keep it perfectly fresh right through that window.
Is it vegan?
Yes, one hundred per cent, and cruelty free. Unlike our pencils and lipsticks there is no beeswax in this formula at all.
