Wipe with a soft damp cloth after each use and dry properly. Do not submerge it, because of the battery compartment. Keep it somewhere it cannot fall onto tile, since natural stone chips.

Never on dry skin
This is the one rule that matters. Stone on bare skin drags, and dragging is the last thing any face needs, particularly a mature or reactive one. Always over a face oil or a serum so the tool glides. If it is catching, you have not used enough slip.

What the vibration adds
It is not a gimmick, though it is a small effect. The movement helps a face oil work into the skin rather than sitting on it, and it makes the drainage part of the routine feel considerably nicer, which in practice means you actually do it. A tool you enjoy using is a tool that gets used.

Upward and outward, lightly
Work from the centre of the face toward the ears and from the jaw upward, following the direction lymph actually drains. Light pressure is plenty. It genuinely reduces morning puffiness. It will not lift or contour permanently, whatever the internet says.

How do I use it?
Always over a face oil or serum so the stone glides rather than drags. Work upward and outward from the centre of the face toward the ears, with light pressure. Five minutes is plenty.
Is the vibrating version better than the plain roller?
It is nicer to use rather than dramatically more effective. The vibration helps oil absorb and makes the routine more pleasant, which matters mostly because it means you keep doing it. If you would rather something with no battery, the plain roller and gua sha set does the same job.
Can I wash it?
